Visual Tree Inspection (service specialty). This in-depth holistic survey of a single tree focuses on assessing its current vitality and structural condition, and any potential risk to people and/or property. It provides interpretation and analysis on the results of the survey along with any recommendations for mitigating any potential risk within a specified time frame. It is carried out in line with British Standard 5837:2012 ‘Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction – Recommendations’. The report is based on a visual inspection carried out from the ground and is illustrated with relevant annotated photographs.

Mortgage Tree Report. This is very similar to a hazard tree inspection but is provided for the prospective property buyer. It is suitable for properties surrounded by trees which may pose a significant risk to buildings or other infrastructure. Hazard trees can cause significant damage to people and property. Insurers or mortgage providers can request a mortgage tree report.

BS 5837:2012 Tree Survey. This survey records in detail the nature, extent and condition of the existing established tree cover within the curtilage of the site. It includes root protection planning for significant trees and risk assessment. It provides an inventory carried out in line with British Standard 5837:2012 ‘Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction – Recommendations’, including arboricultural constraints in terms of the retention category. The report is based on a visual inspection carried out from the ground.
